Condor cancelled our flight, took our money, and when we tried to get information, a refund, and help with our ticket, we felt like we were being ignored and pushed away instead of being helped. We were recording because we wanted to document what was happening. We were told we could not record, and then Condor called the police. Instead of listening to both sides or helping us as passengers, we felt that the police immediately sided with the airline and treated us like we were the problem. The situation became even worse when the police threatened and intimidated us and took my phone while I was recording, stopping the recording. That phone is my personal property, and I did not consent to them taking it. We felt completely powerless. My wife is pregnant. We were exhausted, stranded at the airport, without money, without proper assistance, and trying desperately to find someone who would actually help us. We asked different people at the airport for help, but nobody seemed willing to take responsibility or help us properly. Instead of receiving support after our flight was cancelled, we were left to deal with everything ourselves while being treated with disrespect and intimidation. We are sharing this because we believe passengers, especially international travelers and Canadians, deserve to know what can happen when you are left without proper support at an airport. We just wanted answers, our money back, and help getting home safely.
