@jacobhudsn: After 300 metres of kayaking we all got stuck a set of rapids, Ash’s boat turned sideways and tipped the GoPro out and into the murky waters below. As we’d been on foot I’d left my laptop and none of the footage had been backed up. Over a week’s worth of footage, including finding the source of the Coppename and summiting the highest mountain in Suriname was on this GoPro. We couldn’t leave without it… So each of us spent over 10 minutes on our hands and knees fighting against the rapids, water splashing in our faces as we ran our hands into every crack or crevice under the rocks. In my head, my hand was either going to find the camera or something with way too many teeth… but all I cared about was recovering that footage 😆 We each pulled up tens or GoPro shaped rocks until finally, and by some miracle, I pulled up the GoPro… this clip was from immediately after that. This was taken during our 37 day expedition through the Amazon with Ash Dykes. This was day 8 of our expedition. #unchartedamazon #amazon #ashdykes #project6 #congo
