@elliottspeaks: I just saw the new movie about Elizabeth Holmes called “You Can See Everything”. As a clinician I wanted to jump through the screen and point out what I was noticing to the director who was trying to figure out who Elizabeth really was. Some things jumped out me, here are my top five psychological concepts that stood out to me. This is by far the longest video that I’ve ever posted but I think it’ll be worth watching. ENJOY!
I find it interesting that people see those as sexual tension because what I see is autism face offs haha.

Finding out her dad worked at Enron was one of the funniest parts of the movie

I can't watch it. I worked at Theranos as a contractor for a year. That place was traumatizing.

She gets language clues. So well that she knows she can’t admit to getting the joke. She can articulate it, but refuses to. Because doing so would obligate her to admit that the way she talks is purposefully vague and confusing

Nathan Fielder is lowkey a genius. He may seem oblivious at times, but he knows what’s up.

So many people describe Holmes as charismatic: I don't see it. She's always off puting to me. Maybe its just the context I was introduced to her, but there's not a moment I'm like "I wish this lady wasn't evil"

Beautiful assessment!
I followed her as well. I always wondered how she got so many billionaires to just open up their wallets. She was a master manipulator.

My daughter and I are both autistic. We were watching a different documentary about her last night and debating if she’s autistic as well as narcissistic. It’s interesting to see that you’re on the side of the tism.

A few things 1) at the end it didn’t say “Elizabeth and Billy forfeited” it was just “Billy forfeited the profits” because it was technically only his deal with a24. 2) the chat he had with her dad and how sure he was that this whole thing started after she was r*ped as a teen. He described her essence being in total shock after that experience. I feel the shock he described is an important piece of the puzzle. Everyone processes trauma differently but when you don’t deal with your trauma it manifests in weird ways (i can say from experience) 3) is it possible this was two narcissists meeting and falling in love? But they’re both different flavors of narcissistic? SO many thoughts 😂

I believe she manipulated that man Sunny during Theranos, as well. Made him think he was in charge. But also made him the scapegoat.

great analysis, thank you. in my experience charming/manipulative people can be extraordinarily good at extracting resources from others and I don't don't just mean financially.
