Gidget :
I’m 51 and was laid off almost a year ago. I’ve interviewed with several companies and not gotten any offers. It’s very frustrating

Gen X.. your supposed to be building business. if your married or with a partner, one works, and the other builds a business.. But you need to build business, stop relying on this bullshit job economy. what are you good at? make it a business. I tell my kids to , figure out what your really good at and make it your business. Gen X has some of the best Qualities. we grew up with such a wide variety of learnings. we grew up working on cars, green thumbs, making shit from scratch, busting our asses.. think about what you are good at. maybe multiple things.. do you sew? we are basically the last generation that actually knows how to sew, cook, we took College style classes in biology, farming, and more. we learned actual hair care¡ we have such strong knowledge and it's not being passed on to our kids... teach your kids to build business, not just depend on someone else for work..
