was raped by 2 guys off of apps at 22 and it was my first experience dating as well ++ i was isolated and had low self esteem for so long. i never had an interest in dating either bc im neurodivergent but my friends pressured me into it bc theyd either make fun of me for not having had experience or say i need to get more people. so traumatizing and it changed my brain chemistry, even if i try to convince myself it was a learning lesson to stay off of it. it also impacted my physical health so much due to having to use emergency contraceptives after the assault and my body just completely tensing up/shutting down after. it also has changed my mindset on intimacy permanently and ive been abused all ways growing up by family so i started trying to find comfort in what they did for a short time until i came to terms with it and it broke me. the light in my eyes is gone and i still have panic attacks but i'll be more cautious and kind to myself going forward.

I usually make dating profiles to talk shit and be a menace but now a days I have sworn off doing that cause it's wayyyyyy to dangerous now. there are also a lot of men say they text and don't use snap anymore and use the "it's toxic" bullshit and having a past with stalkers and such I refuse to give my number out to anyone besides family and my Drs lol also I use snap to send my location to my friends and siblings when I go anywhere. I also use my phone location for my parents to know where I am if I meet anyone or feel unsafe and I'm 34 almost 35.... I also have life 360 for back up cause safety is my biggest priority.

I knew I wasn’t paranoid for no reason. I know guys you meet offline can do this too but online makes it so easier and ppl can pretend to be anyone. That’s one of the reason I don’t like dating apps at this point meet me in real life otherwise I’m staying single idc.
