@mothershipsg: Singaporeans can expect some respite from the haze in another three to four weeks as Singapore transits to the inter-monsoon period, said Grace Fu, Minister for Sustainability and the Environment on Oct. 16. Fu was speaking at a press conference on the haze situation. The inter-monsoon period, which takes place around the end of October or early November, brings lighter winds, which are also more variable in direction. This makes it less likely for haze to come over from Sumatra or Kalimantan. By early December, the northeast monsoon will bring winds from the north and northeast, which will blow haze from Sumatra and Kalimantan away from Singapore. #mothershipenvironment #news
