Honestly i feel like the "can't shower for days" moms just don't prioritize it. I can't stand being stinky I shower 2x a day and I kept that up when my son was born. I remember almost losing it in the hospital when the nurses wouldn't let me shower for a day or two after my c section

Same girly! My routine has definitely changed. But I still shower everyday! Sometimes twice or even three times a day! I love it! And I have a Velcro baby👶

When my oldest son was born I would get up take a shower and get ready for work. Put the baby in an infant seat where you can see them. When my second baby was born I did the same thing and was then a stay at home mom. Took a shower every day.

I think you have to purposely chose to but baby down from day 1. I was doing it all alone most of the time and working from home a couple days a week until I went back to work at 8 weeks. So I had to put her in her swing to cook or lay her down to fold clothes and I think she became such a good baby because of it.

I found my hardest time was like 8-12 months so you got time .. when they're crawling and starting to walk... bring a shit ton of toys in the bathroom with u and then lock the door they will find a way to escape

i always took my baby in the bouncer/moses basket in the bathroom and had a shower . I wouldn't have gotten dressed or out the house otherwise and then you're locked in to a horrid cycle. my baby had horrific colic aswell. x

Those people who don’t shower for days are honestly just lazy. I always put them in a bouncer or while they were napping in the pack and play and I had the baby monitor. And if baby was just having a bad day I’d wait for hubs to get home and shower then. The only time I went not showering is when I was septic in the hospital and not allowed to get out of bed. I was 6 weeks PP. the second I got home I took a. Long hot shower.

I would get up at 4:30 am just to take a shower because my 4th would get up at 5 am for the day and if I didn’t make it at 4:30 to take a shower, I would have to wait for somebody to come over lol but I did it. It can be done. Good luck, mama.

“Keep your routine” is only applicable in certain circumstances. Once you have a difficult baby, your views change. You have to experience it.

Hell no. I don’t compromise on that. Baby goes in the bouncer or on the floor. It’s much more challenging when they start moving 😂

The only reason I had a hard time with my first is because my husband worked and I was way too anxious to leave her alone while I showered. I had really really bad postpartum anxiety.

I have 5 kids. there's only been once i couldn't showered for 5 days. but thats because my daughter was in a children hospital for 7 days for a rash that was spreading with hives.
