@mothershipsg: Employers are encouraged to allow staff to work from home during the haze where their jobs permit, particularly those who are more vulnerable to its effects, Acting Minister for Manpower Jasmin Lau said. Speaking at a press conference on Oct. 16, she added that employers should also give proper consideration to flexible work arrangement requests, including those from parents whose children may have to switch to home-based learning. For employees whose jobs require them to be physically present, employers are urged to allow them to take annual or childcare leave where applicable. Those who have exhausted their leave may also be granted paid time off or allowed to use next year's annual leave in advance, without affecting their wages. Image credit: Canva #mothershipenvironment
