@dailyai.uk: Billy Joel has spent decades filling stadiums with music, but the legendary singer is now facing a difficult reality: his health has forced him to step away from driving and performing while doctors assess his condition. The 77-year-old “Piano Man” singer revealed the latest update in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday, explaining that he is currently not allowed to drive because of normal pressure hydrocephalus, a brain condition that can affect balance, memory, and other abilities. “I’m not allowed to drive,” Joel admitted. Performing live is also on hold. His neurologist warned that the loud sound, intense lighting, stress, and energy of a concert could put additional strain on his condition. Joel explained that he must undergo further tests before knowing whether he can safely return to the stage. Despite the uncertainty, he made it clear that performing again is something he hopes to do. The condition has already led to major changes in his life. Last month, Joel revealed that he underwent surgery to have a shunt implanted in his brain, a procedure he said improved his memory, balance, and ability to function. He is also auctioning more than 70 motorcycles from his collection because he can no longer ride as often as he once did. For someone who loved riding as much as he loved performing, letting go has not been easy. Still, Joel ended his recent health updates with a message that offered fans reassurance. “I’m not going anywhere,” he said. “I’m here. I’m still here.” For now, the music legend is focusing on recovery, following medical advice, and taking things one step at a time.
