@mtvuk: Emilio Sakraya and Esther McGregor have officially been cast as Xaden Riorson and Violet Sorrengail in Prime Video’s upcoming FOURTH WING ✨ #MTVCeleb #FourthWing #Xaden #VioletSorrengail #BookTok

Justme 🖤 :

Some books are meant to stay books

Joana Enes :

Can they re-cast again?

𝓢𝓲𝓮𝓻𝓻𝓪 :

Yall do realize they’re actors, not the actual characters, right? They’re going to give them wigs and make up and outfits to fit the roles. And as for the height, if they can make realistic dragons in shows like GoT, they can give them the height difference you crave so badly. Would you rather have bad acting and they look exactly like the books say naturally? Or they look a little different and are actually good at their job?

Fire_Heart4422! :

Why are people upset for the cast?? Like I can see them as Violet and Xaden. One thing I’m worried about is how the dragons are gonna look

🌸Mandy🌸 :

If this is true, I won’t be watching the series. There’s a reason why every AI-generated image and piece of fan art depicts Violet in a similar way—and the actors don’t come anywhere close to that. Violet is portrayed as having soft features, a beautiful smile, and a feminine appearance. She simply cannot be played by someone with sharp, prominent features, a gap in her teeth, and an odd-looking mouth area. That doesn’t fit the character as described in the book. It’s not that the actress is ugly, but she just isn’t the right fit. After all, you wouldn’t have a Hobbit play the role of Thor, would you?

n :

I’m disappointed 😢

shazs18 :

I really wish we all could have found out in episode 1 which actors would be playing them.. by then we would all be too excited to care.

XADEN IS PERFECT ✨

Me personally I know people are upset about the casting for violet but i genuinely see the vision that they have given us. I think both of them will do an astounding job!!

seiya :

Oh I’m actually upset …

~lily~ <3 :

guys COME ON!! we all envisioned the characters differently. no matter who they picked, some people in this fandom would never have been satisfied. i think these two are going to do a fabulous job of Vi and Xaden, and they deserve our love and support!
