@web21104: 😴 Nothing like getting woke up at 2 AM and being told we're moving to the 5th floor! 😂 Had to pack up everything, move rooms, and get Brett hooked back up to all his IVs and monitors. Finally got settled around 4:30 AM and crawled into bed at 5! 🥱 We weren't prepared for that midnight adventure! 🤣 But I'm thankful for every nurse and doctor taking care of my boy. ❤️🙏 #BrettsLife #AngelmanSyndrome #HospitalLife #SpecialNeedsDad #DadLife
As a house supervisor in a hospital, we don’t do this unless we absolutely have too. We hate doing it so bad lol. Someone in the ER needed Brett’s bed and couldn’t wait till the morning.

We were in a several month stay with my son and where in a negative pressure room and one night they needed it for a worse off kiddo. We moved and did not bat a eye.

Unfortunately hospitals operate 24/7 & that included room changes. I was hospitalized for 5-7 days with pulmonary embolisms & made 2 room changes in the wee hours of the night

This is the worst for nursing too trust me! We hate loosing patients in the middle of the night. We also hate having to tell you! Thanks for being a good sport!

As an RN, I absolutely hate having to move patients after 10 pm, but there’s usually a valid reason

Ive been moved from room to room in the middle of the night while in hospital. Its no big deal and there's a good reason why you are being moved. I was in a Pulmonary Clinic and started to get a cold, so they moved me and everything in my room , bed, side tables absolutely everything was taken to a private room. I was grateful because it gave me time to get better without infecting anyone else!

If they’re moving his room that means someone else needs that room more. The Ed is probably full and they need to move patients up to the floor

I’m bed flow/admitting and yeah hate making that call but it generally means the ER is getting full.

When a room is ready a room is ready, doesn’t matter what time it is.

They tried to transfer me hospitals at 3am....I knew I was likely to get discharged later that same day and refused. Got discharged that afternoon. 😅

I wish our world had more examples of you. Your positive outlook, making smiles out of hard times and showing what compassion and love brings! Rhett sees you, feels you and so darn blessed you are his parents❤️

Yeah something to get used to when in the hospital Unfortunately a sicker patient needed that room, least you still got a private room though .

A hospital is 24/7. Sick people come in all the time. It’s not a hotel.
