Suberian life :
I went through one of the most difficult interview panels of my career, yet I believe I performed exceptionally well. I faced two stages of interviews, and everything seemed promising. Afterward, they requested my references and work certificates, which I promptly submitted. The HR representative even smiled and congratulated me, saying they would finalize my application within two months. As the deadline approached, I tried calling her, but she did not answer. I followed up by email, but received no response. I even emailed the General Manager, who had been part of the interview panel, but he, too, remained silent. Later, I learned that another shortlisted candidate was an ethnic colleague of theirs, which left me wondering whether factors beyond merit had influenced the decision. To this day, the experience still hurts because I genuinely believed I had earned that opportunity. It taught me a painful lesson: sometimes, being the best candidate does not guarantee that you will receive the reward you deserve.
