As a parent, I refuse to take my kids to the dr for normal viruses. the school is constantly asking for the dr notes and im like... no?? why tf would I waste my and their time when if you give it a couple days they'll be fine and back at school? I cant stand leaving the house when the kids just need rest and fluids and time 🙃 im not dragging cranky sick kids to the dr unless it's actually an issue

I would disagree with treat for comfort not number. As I was doing this and my son had a febrile seizure because he had a fever spike.

My mom said that if we drank milk when we had fever it would curd in my stomach and I would throw up lol. Don’t know if this is true but I don’t give my toddler milk when they have fever I just do pedialyte instead

When i found out pedialyte made ice pops, it was a game changer. I can hardly get my toddler to drink anything when she’s healthy but that kid will down ice pops no matter what 😂

is it weird that my 3.5yr old (been in kinder since 8mths) rarely gets sick now, he hasnt been sick this year and we are heading into summer season on Aus. he has been asymptomatic cause me and his dad have been sick 🤣

I always battle with when to give Motrin/tylenol during a fever because I know fevers are doing their job against illnesses. Last week my son had 103 and was sleeping on the couch so I guess I would call him comfortable..would you still have given him meds?

Treat a fever for comfort but what if you have boys that will go until they end up within hours in the ER on high flow oxygen and end up flown to a pediatric ICU 🙃 my boys will go go go and it’s hard to tell
