Cell phone tracking technology has already led to a ton of arrests for various crimes. The only thing that this is saying is that they have to have a proper warrant for it. If it's too broad, then it can be rejected. They just have to make sure they cross their t's, and their i's and lowercase j's.

We need a law that prevents tech companies from holding on to any data not needed to enable basic device functionality. And all of it deleted soon as not needed which in most cases would be less than 24 hours.
