@mzansinewsroom: ⚖️🇿🇦 NSIBANDE'S PAST RETURNS TO THE SPOTLIGHT AS BAIL BATTLE CONTINUES! 📅 Friday, 16 October 2026 | Durban March and March activist Wandile Nsibande is back in the spotlight as his previous conviction, parole status and pending assault case become central issues in his bail proceedings. Report claims that Nsibande's affidavit, read by his lawyer Xolani Zuma, acknowledges his parole status and disputes the charges against him. The precise contents of that affidavit have not yet been independently verified by Mzansi Newsroom. Nsibande faces charges arising from the recent Durban protests. He is presumed innocent of these charges unless proven guilty. ⚖️ THE BIG QUESTION: Should a person's criminal history influence whether they are granted bail in a new case? 💬 Share your thoughts respectfully, and share this update with your community. It depends on the portion of his original sentence that was suspended and the conditions attached to his parole. However, if his recent arrest did not result in a conviction, that alone does not necessarily constitute a parole violation. The determining factor is whether he breached any of the conditions governing his release.

What were the conditions of his parole if he did not violate the conditions, the denial is unfair and must challenged. It is clear though he is being punished for fighting for human rights.
