Your argument is always based on assumptions and not fact. The Fajuyi you mentioned was a military governor of the old western region which includes Lagos and other Yoruba state. What has it got to do with historical significance of Ondo/ Ekiti?

Omo Iya Mi. In terms of modern state administration, Ekiti came out of Ondo State in 1996. But that does not mean Ekiti people originated from Ondo or that Ekiti communities or any kingdoms from Ekiti State were historically subordinate to Ondo State. Ondo State came first as a modern state in 1976, and Ekiti State was carved out of it in 1996.

It was even Ekiti people that fought tooth and nail so that Akure can be made capital then. Great people like Baba Akinyede from Ode ekiti, Olumilua from ikere, Olofinboba (owner of Bobas school in ikere) from ikere, Prof. Afe babalola from Ado, etc. All these people fought for it to be in akure then.

you didnt say the history well..lets remive sentiments. first as a state.. ekiti was created out of ondo. why? ondo existed as a state before ekiti existed as a state. when ondo existed as a state, ekiti and the rest of the ondos have issues and it was the ekiti people that said they wanted their own state out of ondo state. so pls dont mix the ancient ekiti history as an ancient kingdom older than ondo with a nation we found ourselves now as nigerians. so bro..ekiti as a state, was taken out of ondo state.
