70%? That’s way too much to pay upfront for any production. 😭 I learned that the hard way. What I usually do now is pay 40% upfront. Once production is underway and they’re about halfway through, or almost at the finishing stage, I pay another 20%, bringing it to 60%. Then, once the production is completely done and I’m satisfied with the work, I balance the remaining 40%. That way, even if they disappoint you, stop replying, or try to mess you up, you haven’t risked too much money. At least, you’ve only paid 40% upfront, so you’re not losing a huge amount if things go wrong. Honestly, I’ve learned to be more careful with these things. Never pay too much upfront, no matter how convincing they sound
