#notvirt #recommendations #fypシ #2min #minho Sometimes a person leaves your life not because you stopped loving them, and not even because something terrible happened between you. Sometimes people simply become strangers to each other, almost without noticing it. At first, you talk every day. You know how their day went, laugh at the dumbest things together, send each other random pictures, songs, thoughts that would probably make no sense to anyone else. You get used to knowing that this person is somewhere out there, that you can text them whenever you want, that they will understand you even when you have no idea how to explain what you are feeling. And then, somehow, things start to change. The messages get shorter. The conversations happen less often. The closeness that once felt so natural slowly disappears, and you don't even know exactly when it happened. You can still remember their favorite words, their habits, the way they looked at you, the sound of their laugh, the little things they did without thinking. Sometimes you hear a song and suddenly you're back in a certain evening, a certain place, a certain conversation. And the strangest part is that this person hasn't been a part of your everyday life for a long time, yet pieces of them are still everywhere. Maybe that's why letting people go hurts so much. You're not only letting go of a person. You're letting go of the version of yourself that existed beside them. The version of you that could laugh until your stomach hurt, wait for a message at two in the morning, tell them absolutely everything, and feel completely understood. Sometimes you don't even miss the person themselves. You miss who you were when they were around. There are places you stop visiting because they remind you of them. There are songs you skip because you know exactly where your mind will go if you hear them. There are phrases you still use because they once became part of the way you talked together. And sometimes you catch yourself looking for them in strangers. Not literally, maybe, but in small things: the same smile, the same way of speaking, the same expression when someone gets embarrassed, the same kind of laugh. For a second, your brain almost convinces you that you've found something familiar. Then reality comes back, and you remember that it isn't them. Still, I don't think every person is meant to stay forever. Some people come into your life for a few months, some for years, and some for what feels like an entire lifetime. They can teach you things you never expected to learn, show you parts of yourself you didn't know existed, or simply make a certain period of your life feel less lonely. And when they leave, it doesn't mean that everything you had with them suddenly becomes meaningless. Maybe some people are supposed to be memories. Not because they weren't important enough to stay, but because their place in your life was never meant to be permanent. They were there for a reason, even if you only understand that reason much later. I like to believe that people never completely disappear. They stay in the songs we listen to, in the places we remember, in the words we use, in the way we look at other people. They leave little pieces of themselves behind without even realizing it. Maybe one day you'll meet someone new and notice that the way you love, trust, or care has changed because of everything you went through before. Maybe you'll become softer in some places and stronger in others. And maybe that's what it means to truly let someone go. Not forgetting them. Not pretending they never mattered. Just accepting that they were once a beautiful part of your life, even if they're no longer standing beside you. Some people leave, but what they gave you stays. And sometimes, that's the closest thing we get to keeping them.
