Yes. And it has been for some time. I've been saying it for years, New Orleans is being turned into a postcard version of itself.

time to find a new street for the locals and revitalize it but form a legal pact and a board with which they are not to raise the price of the land, and if selling or renting the store front has to be agreed by the board, then develop a 100year agreement with the city to not raise taxes with the main focus to keep the locals and uniqueness of the local character - wait maybe they should make me mayor. But sadly the people in government and corporations are all greedy.

House Witch of New Orleans :
There was an amazing taco place a few years back on magazine called Aranya (sp?) landlord ambushed them and their lease was sold out from under them to El Paso. A chefs dream replaced by the McDonald’s version of tacos. It was such a shame.

Native here. Yes. Yes, it is. Or has; the real NO was long gone by the early 2000s, Katrina finished the job and Covid hammered in the final nails in the coffin.

Yep. For a while now. Slow but surely since Katrina. Covid ended it. I’ve been saying for years it’s becoming only for transplants. Born and raised here, theres nothing exciting.

I hope that ending come true unfortunately. Greed is truly the downfall of all good businesses, they lose touch. The landlords don’t even be local it’s insane! Just greedy.
