@itsnathanoreilly: Liquidity and Fair Value Gaps are useful for different reasons. Liquidity gives me areas on the chart where I want to pay attention to how price reacts. Obvious highs and lows can become areas where stops and other orders may cluster. In this example, price trades below the previous low, sweeps that liquidity, then displaces higher. That bullish displacement leaves behind a Fair Value Gap, or FVG. Instead of chasing price after the move, I can wait and see whether price retraces back into the FVG. If the wider setup still makes sense, that gives me an area where I can start looking at the entry, invalidation and target. Here, the target is framed towards the opposing liquidity above. The key point is that a liquidity sweep or FVG on its own does not automatically mean take the trade. I’m looking at how the concepts work together. Save this for your next chart session. #liquiditytrading #fairvaluegap #priceaction #icttrading #marketstructure
