Be careful. I’ve been told the translated version is watered down, so it’s not as harsh.

Yes and yes. We read the Quran, some of us read it cover to cover on a regular basis. We all have questions, honestly some are the exact same you brought up in previous videos. So we seek out the answers, as the Quran commands us to use our brains and logic. We attend lectures, take classes, and ask scholars directly. Some questions will be answered in a satisfactory way. Others may linger for years as we continue to seek understanding. However for most of us, the core of our religious beliefs and what our religion teaches are so beautiful that we continue to practice. Practicing and connecting spiritually provides us with inner peace and strength as we take on life’s challenges. We don’t reduce the religion to the parts of the Quran that we don’t understand. Reading a divine scripture is like cats trying to understand human speech. Naturally there will be gaps. We accept that we might not ever know the logic behind everything, but we have scholars that help us understand. There’s a lot of trust needed there, which is the leap that anyone who believes in any religion or spirituality is required to make (since we don’t have scientific proof of our beliefs, yet).

a lot of Muslims actually do study the religion but it's usually tinted with the idea that it's the most perfect/best/most correct thing out there and not from a neutral stance

During ramadan a lot of us do actually read the Quran from start to finish, I can't say 100% of us read it but it's common that we do, we also know about all the life of the Prophet, either in arabic school, cartoons, our parents etc. And I say personally I didn't read the other books start to finish but I already have an idea of their core ideas, what they believe about the main Messengers and Prophets but my belief about them is only what the Quran says, so if the bible or the torah contradicts the Quran I take from the Quran only.

1. Yes almost certainly 2. Most Muslims know alot about the fundamentals of their faith Islam is a way of life. It's not something you do once a week or on the high holidays.

I rely heavily on the Quran and seerah for my faith. I also follow the Hanafi madhab because of its approach to Hadith.

I just dont understand how they claim it’s a scientific book and a metaphoric book at the same time. Like the part where it says that semen in made from the spine or that the sun sets in the mud. Those are factually objectively wrong facts no matter how you put it. Why would a book from God have incorrect statements? And they always say it’s metaphorical but at the same time they say they believe in the Quran bc it was so many ”scientific revelations”….
