This person's whole thing is punishing other people for her anxiety, despite recognizing she's doing it

My late husband Robert helped conduct those studies. It was fun hearing the backstories.

It’s also important to point out this is abusive behavior and it’s important to know the cause behind but also important for those who may relate to hold themselves accountable

The anger after they leave isn't actually about them leaving — it's protest behavior. Anxious attachment reads separation as danger, and anger is the nervous system's last-ditch effort to close the distance. The work isn't "stop being angry." It's teaching your body that someone walking away doesn't mean you're being abandoned.

I'm not judging y'all for having the angry feelings but I am judging for taking them out on your partner. Like what the hell? they literally did nothing wrong. How do you not see that and realize it's a you thing and work on it?

This hits so hard as a former foster child who then had kids. I felt like such a failure that they got so upset when I had to leave. 😔 glad they got to be normal.

I'm avoidant, everyone and everything lets me down and makes me angry, so I just doom scroll, cry then put on a happy
face and carry on like nothing happened

And I still don’t get why everyone isn’t avoidant. Like of course I’m going to play with the blocks. Crying, pacing, or whatever doesn’t fix the problem. Since I can’t fix it, I may as well either try to reduce stress (play) or as an adult, try to prevent future stress (work). The other reaction just don’t make sense to me.
