Tristin Johnson :
They need to fire him. You don’t sit your first overall pick on the bench. He deserves a lot more minutes.

If the hiller-McKenna relationship ends up like Babcock-marner relationship then Toronto is screwed lol

McKenna is under preforming and cant play defense at all , you need to sit him to meep his ego in check and send a message to the team . He is not a generational talent or anything he is mid. .

Why is he sitting the number one pick only after a few games??

Tugeye Hockey :
He sat through a long stretch, everybody. he's an 18-year-old kid and not warm he could have got injured. he needs to rest mid game not mid-season or even at the end of the season. 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

He didn't deserve to sit and the team could have used him.

Why pick a #1 draft pick makes points then you sit him. Yet you play so so players, why. Confused?? if you don't like him , I'm sure other teams will grab him real quick.

Literally no reason at all to bench him. In his 6 minutes of ice time, he had more impact/looks than Sissons, Blueger and Duhaime while building good chem with cowan. Tavares goes down, why not bench McKenna too? Don’t know why leafs took a chance on a coach who hasn’t accomplished anything

Possibly one of the most poorly coached games in Leafs history. Not a good sign this early in the season

You act like McKenna is Gretzky…he is a kid, a rookie that needs to grow and learn. He will earn his ice time when he deserves it

So you put Blankenberg and Morgan in OT but not McKenna

When I saw he was moved to the third line before the game with Cowan I knew a benching was coming. Like this has been done thousands of times by old minded coaches.

the team probably played the best 2 periods so far this year then he starts sitting players and plays his defensive sit back game it doesn't work. play the same way what is giving you success not try to play a defensive game that they dont have
