@cliftonphysicaltherapy: Hip pinching when you squat, climb stairs, or get out of the car? 🦵 A hip labral tear doesn't automatically mean you need surgery. Your hip labrum is a ring of cartilage that helps stabilize your hip joint. When it's injured, certain movements can cause pinching, discomfort, or pain, especially when your hip bends deeply. But avoiding movement altogether isn't always the answer. The right exercises can help improve hip strength, stability, and movement control without forcing painful positions. Here are 3 exercises that may help with hip labral tear symptoms: 1️⃣ Glute Bridges: Strengthen your glutes without putting your hip into deep flexion. 2️⃣ Banded Sidesteps: Strengthen your outer hip muscles and improve pelvic stability during everyday movements. 3️⃣ Partial Squats: Build strength for stairs, sitting, and standing without forcing your hip into a deep, painful range. 💡 The goal isn't to push through hip pain. It's to help your hip handle movement more comfortably. Not every hip labral tear requires surgery, and not every exercise is right for every hip. A physical therapy evaluation can help identify your movement limitations and determine which exercises make sense for you. At Clifton Physical Therapy, we create individualized treatment plans to help improve hip strength, restore mobility, and get you back to the activities you enjoy. 👉 Learn more about physical therapist-recommended exercises for hip labral tears and explore your treatment options: https://www.cliftonphysio.com/hip-labral-tear-exercises-physical-therapists-recommend 📍 Clifton, NJ 🌐 www.cliftonphysio.com #HipLabralTear #HipPain #HipPinching #HipLabrum #HipExercises #HipStrengthening #GluteBridges #HipMobility #PhysicalTherapy #NonSurgicalTreatment #SportsPhysicalTherapy #CliftonNJ #CliftonPhysicalTherapy

I have multi focal labral tears and FAI. I do glute bridges and partial squats but the pain keeps getting worse.
