I have two married brothers, one has NEVER had anything good to say about his wife for years while she was still a girlfriend to he point where some family members did not even go to the wedding, meanwhile the other brother will protect his wife at all cost- he introduced her as an angel and years later the family still see her as such. A man who will not protect you from his family and friends simply does not value you.

Using the example she used... To be honest, for most guys in marriages when they say they're leaving the event early cos of how their wives are, they mean it the way they said it. It's not a joke!!! and it's not creating an image of the lady. Also... most men usually agree to certain decisions with their wives not cos they like it but cos they want to please the lady and avoid unnecessary drama. Even though there's situations where her concerns are valid the examples she used are mostly mens way of expressing what they are facing in their homes
