Yeah, after bills are paid I have $200 to buy groceries and fill my gas tank. Gas just jumped back up to nearly $4 a gallon. Also, my kids start fall break this week so they’re gonna be home and I need to feed them. No free breakfast and lunch for four days. 😱

I'm voting, boycotting big businesses, building my network of community, shouting from the rooftops, supporting my local libraries, educating myself on off grid living and my unconscious biases, etc. it's not a one solution problem. we all must be doing all we can to support ourselves when the system eventually crashes.

I’m getting increasingly frustrated feeling like it doesn’t matter if anyone votes. Voters in my state voted for women’s reproductive rights and now they just put it back on the ballot again to try and ban it after it already passed. I’m still voting I’m just annoyed about it.

And it’s infuriating because gaslighting is a term I thought we were all learning to recognize and identify. A decade ago, I genuinely believed that becoming more aware of psychological manipulation would make us harder to deceive. Instead, I feel like I’m experiencing more gaslighting, and more blatantly, than I ever experienced in any personal relationship or family dynamic throughout my life. It’s like the more we learn to recognize these tactics, the more normalized they become. I genuinely thought awareness would make us less susceptible to manipulation, not that we’d end up watching it happen on an even larger scale. It’s absolutely insane.
