I grew up in Globe which Roosevelt Lake is its backyard just a 20min drive. My uncle was the head Lt for Gila County Roosevelt division and was in charge of the Gila County search and rescue (well him and Payson's Lt were coleaders). I have spent many summers on that lake. Now I prefer Apache lake Davis Wash. Ive actually been inside the dam also bc of my uncle, its really cool. Also my childhood best friend took his car off the cliff about 2 miles from the damn up the 88 damn near killing himself and 2 other guys. This area has been my summer life for 4 decades.

Lived in Phoenix my whole life. I never knew that’s why Goodyear is named Goodyear. I’m building some data centers out there now, got to watch the Goodyear blimp takeoff from the airport about a month ago. How about that haha

I have pictures from building and opening day for the Roosevelt dam. My great grandfather had the hauling contract for the building of the dam. Roosevelt on that day ate with my family before the opening.

So wait a second. Farmers thought of it, lobbied for it, and they have to pay for what makes crazy money.
