⚠️ Potential spoiler for Euphoria Season 3 below👇 Sam Levinson said Fez was supposed to be the backbone of this season. He was going to be in prison, and Levinson would tell Angus to start working out to get a “prison body” because he wanted to give him something to look forward to. Something to keep him clean. After Angus died, Levinson rewrote this season too. Fez is still alive in the show’s universe, in prison, off screen, and characters talk to him on the phone. Levinson said, “I couldn’t keep him alive in life, so maybe within this show that I can control, I can keep him alive there.” I’m probably going to lose it watching this season. I definitely had a parasocial friendship with both the character and real human being. I’m honestly conflicted about how it’s going to feel, hearing Fez kept alive because the person who played him couldn’t be. But I also think there’s something important about that. About keeping someone present even after they’re gone. I’ll be reacting to and breaking down scenes from Euphoria Season 3 on my YouTube channel, Dr. Courtney Tracy (@the.truth.doctor).
