My sister, luganda can be easly absorbed throughout the country but the jealous of some people from certain tribes think it would make baganda superior so lets not force people However, rejecting luganda won't make swahiri a national language because now luganda has now advanced to numerous linguistical levels. Forget about any local language being priotized above others. Uganda is filled with many tribes and none will swallow allowing the language of one tribe to go national at the cost of theirs. Just forget it. Only solution would be to priotize all local languages like South Africa does.

A reminder to those who front swahili to here , it will never happen 1) Buganda as a kingdom time memorial has resisted the influence of the language since Ssekabaka Daudi Chwa, who spear headed it . The case behind it was not amere union of the E.Africa, it was to fully diluted, or erase the Luganda language for good since Buganda was/has been a threat to them. Swahili if failed to move on in the late 1920s, it will never fly off because it has been resisted time memorial

Don't politicize this matter, it's about fairness for all the 56 tribes period. I love Baganda ,they're very good people, but when it comes to language, you're only tripping about the whole idea.

thanks, ask them if European union has one language?? each country uses its own language, though they are in one community, we don't need kiswahili for east African community to move well, each country can stay with its language, we only need economic integration!!!!
