@hewadpress4: By Syed Tauqeer Zaidi 📍PESHAWAR: At least 33 people, including 31 students and two teachers, were reportedly killed and 52 others injured after the roof of a private school collapsed in Peshawar’s Dir Colony, trapping students and teachers under the rubble. According to Rescue 1122, the incident occurred at Al-Khair School System in Dir Colony, where several children and teachers were buried beneath the debris. Rescue teams, ambulances, and disaster response vehicles rushed to the scene and launched relief and rescue operations. The injured and deceased were shifted to nearby hospitals, while rescue personnel continued searching for people trapped under the collapsed structure. According to rescue sources, the deceased students were between six and 14 years of age. The incident caused widespread grief as emergency responders worked to recover those trapped beneath the rubble. Peshawar Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) said that approximately 110 children were enrolled at the affected school. Police have taken the school owner into custody for investigation. Rescue officials later confirmed that all individuals trapped under the debris had been recovered and the rescue operation had been completed. The cause of the roof collapse has not yet been established.
