The opposite of your least favorite kind of people. 🥰 you've had hard times and still show up with a smile, a funny story, a sweet demeanor and confidence to share parts of your life. Felt this in my soul. We don’t talk enough about how much of a privilege it is to experience life like that. Obviously that’s not their fault but it can be very difficult to relate to if you’re someone who’s seen a lot of life especially at a young age

I’m 44, a 2x cancer survivor, and infertile so never was able to have children. My husband and I are privileged to say that we’re financially well enough for me to be able to not work. I have people tell me all of the time that I’m so lucky I don’t have to work and I don’t have children to have to pay for but little do they know that I’m jealous they have good health and have children. I’m not lucky.

So many people are unable to recognize something if they haven’t experienced it themselves. Like I have crippling anxiety and my husband is unphased by literally everything. He truly cannot comprehend what I experience but he believes me and supports me anyway. But the number of people who have told me I’m making excuses for things is wild.

i don’t currently have a job and i live with my parents because in oct 2025 i scheduled major hip surgery for april 2026 and no one (understandably) wants to hire you when you’ll be out for 3 months in the near future. this august i scheduled the same surgery for my other hip for december, so once again can’t get a job until i’m cleared after that for the same reason. was telling the PTA i was working with at physical therapy some of this and she goes “oh, what i’d give to live at home and not have to work” and “you should finish your degree during your second surgery recovery, you’ll have the time!!” and argued with me when i said it wouldn’t work for me🧍🏻♀️and like there are other life circumstances that affect it too that i didn’t mention to her, but girl, have your pelvis broken and screwed back together and tell me if you’d be able to go to school 3 weeks later or if you’re having fun not having a job!! 😬 i’m happy she doesn’t understand the toll this surgery takes, but mayyyybe actually listen to the person going through it idk 🤷🏻♀️
