@mattaroons: I bake cakes from scratch all the time, so I’ll admit I was a little intrigued when @FoodThoughtsUk challenged me to create a spectacular cake using a box mix… 👀 I went for one of my absolute favourites — Sticky Ginger Toffee Pudding Cake 🤎 The Beautiful Ginger Cake Mix gave me the perfect spiced ginger & cinnamon base, and all I had to add was oil and water. From there, I got to do the fun bit being creative with the filling & decoration 👨🏻‍🍳🙌🏻 I made a homemade sticky ginger toffee sauce, used FoodThoughts new Velvety Vanilla Flavour Frosting, a ginger crumble, crystallised stem ginger & home made caramel shards. And honestly, this is exactly what I think a good cake mix should do. Take care of the base, take away some of the guesswork, and leave you with plenty of room to get creative. Whether you're just starting out with baking or, like me, you normally make everything from scratch, I think there's something really lovely about having a reliable starting point and using your time to make it your own.
