Detachment helped a lot ngl. Realizing someone I like and want doesn’t add anything of value to who I am or the life I want. I can want someone without needing them, and I can like someone without making them the center of my world. At the end of the day, my life is still mine, and I refuse to put it on hold waiting for someone else to be a part of it. If it happens, it happens, but I’m good either way.

the strongest people still keep their capacity to love deeply even after being hurt. I was hurt greatly by a man I was with for nearly 7 years and sometimes I wish I could be the type of woman that swears off men but I still have so much love to give somebody in the future.
