@dudelovesspace: Incredible Magnetic Activity on the Sun! Captured with my Solar Telescope #space #sun #astronomy Check out this magnetic activity on the Sun in great detail! From the bottom up we are looking at active regions that resemble wind blowing over grassy fields, but actually it’s ~10.000 °C hot plasma shaped by intense magnetic fields! On the Sun’s limb, you can see spectacular prominence action where plasma traces the underlying magnetic field structure. This time-lapse reveals mesmerizing solar activity through a special filter, the Daystar Quark Chromosphere, bringing you views of solar prominences and chromospheric features in exquisite clarity.
