@thehistorynow: Before Jackie Chan became one of the biggest martial arts stars in the world, he was a young performer working behind the scenes in Hong Kong cinema. One of the most memorable moments from his early career happened while working on Bruce Lee’s famous film Enter the Dragon. During the filming of a fight scene, Bruce Lee accidentally hit the young Jackie Chan in the face with a fighting stick. Lee immediately stopped and checked on Chan to make sure he was okay. Years later, Jackie Chan recalled the story and admitted that he actually made the injury seem worse than it was because he wanted Bruce Lee to pay more attention to him. For Chan, being noticed by Bruce Lee was a huge deal. At the time, Bruce Lee was already becoming one of the most important martial arts stars in the world. His films were helping introduce Hong Kong martial arts cinema to international audiences. Jackie Chan, meanwhile, was still at the beginning of his career. The two would eventually become legends in their own ways. Bruce Lee became famous for changing the way martial arts were shown in movies, while Jackie Chan developed his own style by combining martial arts, comedy, dangerous stunts, and creative action scenes. That short moment on the set of Enter the Dragon became part of Jackie Chan’s memories of the martial artist he admired. It is a reminder that even the biggest stars once started as young performers hoping to learn from the people they looked up to. 🥋🎬❤️ #JackieChan #BruceLee #EnterTheDragon #MartialArts #KungFu
