Thank you, Dan. I immigrated to Mexico earlier this year because it’s my spouse’s home country and it felt like the safest place for us to be. But I struggled for months not being able to legally work while I got my residency. Now that I can finally work again, I got a commission based job and have been overworking myself to try to make us some money because well we’ve been going hungry. This was a great reminder to focus on my passion too. I had been writing a book prior to finally being able to work and I can’t let that go out the window in this stressful time. I have to give my book the attention it deserves while still understanding that will take time. It’s all about balance between the work and the writing.
