I raised 2 kids the rule was always don’t hit first, but if someone hits you defend yourself. Yeah you might get kicked out of school for a week, but you won’t be in trouble at home. I’ll pick you up. We’ll grab some ice cream and you’ll enjoy your week off like it’s a vacation. Yeah my son took me up on it more than once, but you know what I didn’t raise? Weak, scared followers. Both my young adult children are productive members of society and thriving… not to mention teaching my grandkids the same thing.

Absolutely not! Just because you don’t want to parent your child and teach your child to behave does not mean mine will be their punching bag! My child has every right to defend themselves as they seem fit!

My parents did say you don’t start the fight but you better end it. Now, I didn’t get in fights either. Same with my kids. I told them not to start it but don’t take getting beat up either. I’ll take care of admin if someone is stating fights with mine and they are defending themselves.

My son was bullied in the bathroom by a boy that refused to let him walk away and just leave the room. So my son lifted that boy off his feet and threw him to the floor so he could leave. I talked to the principal then took my son out to his favorite restaurant for lunch followed by ice cream. Best way to spend same day suspension.

yeah except all the adults in the school goes and tells the child that's being bullied to suck it up and and go back to business they don't deal with the bully at all whatsoever they tell the child being bullied it's okay just just go about your day how about you deal with a person who's doing it and not the child is being done too

No no no, the other kid's parents need to teach their kid to keep their hands to themselves. Because my kids are taught to defend themselves and I will back them up every time they need to defend themselves.

I taught my kids to defend themselves! Not to be a punching bag for some bully! I have 3 sons and one daughter and they are generous wonderful kids but they won’t take anyone’s crap!!!

I've taught my daughter someone hits you hit them back. I will have your back and will fight with the school if needed. Kids that fight back are less likely to get bullied. I'm raising my daughter to take no sh*t from anyone not to be a doormat.
