I’ve got one for you. Have four kids work 40 hours a week got food stamps $400 a month no problem lived in Jackson County Missouri move to Polk county Missouri smaller town better School so I thought husband and I are legally married, however have been separated for many years, his financial Means have nothing to do with my household and I have a child support case on him. Polk County prosecuted me for a food stamp fraud. They claimed his income should’ve been added to my household. At the same time I was receiving child support from his income. I paid $750 for the 2 1/2 months I have them And they gave me a misdemeanor. I am 49 now and have found out that I have a class two theft on my record and I am having difficulty finding part-time work. This happened in 2019 the tax paper that I filed for that year represents that I made a total of $12,000 that year total the restaurant I was working at and February closed with a weeks notice and I was left no other option but to apply for assistance however they somehow said that I unlawfully fraudulently received those food stamps, which is not true certainly did not have money for an attorney then however if someone would like to take this on, I’ll pay 20%I’d pay 50-50 just to make a point
