#Instagram's Adam Mosseri has been getting questions on how often you should post on Instagram. Prioritize quality over quantity, but in general, the more you post the more people you’ll reach. If you post infrequently now and want to really ramp up your posting, try out Trial Reels - that way you can share with accounts who don’t yet follow you, and then decide later which posts perform best to share with your followers. Adam breaks down how ranking works on Instagram in a series of videos in a way that hopefully helps creators best leverage the platform. At a high level, there are two types of ranking on Instagram: - Connected reach (accounts that follow you) - Unconnected reach (accounts that don’t yet follow you) For both, the top three signals that matter most for ranking are watch time, likes and sends. So when looking at your insights, pay close attention to average watch time, likes per reach, and sends per reach. One nuance: likes are slightly more important for connected content, and sends are slightly more important for unconnected content. Let us know what else would be helpful to unpack about ranking ✌🏼
