@chineseindonesianman: A humanoid robot taller than most rooms has been unveiled in China. NeodraDynamics says its NEO1 stands approximately 13 feet tall and weighs about 1.2 tons. Unlike smaller humanoids designed primarily for demonstrations or light factory work, the machine is intended for demanding industrial environments. The company says NEO1 has 41 actively controlled degrees of freedom, including 39 hydraulically powered joints and two electrically driven forearm joints. Its two arms reportedly provide a combined payload capacity of 500 kilograms—or approximately 1,102 pounds. NeodraDynamics also claims positioning repeatability of ±0.005 millimeters. Potential applications include ports, mines, nuclear facilities, offshore operations and other locations where human workers may face heavy loads or hazardous conditions. The robot is currently best viewed as a newly unveiled industrial platform. The lifting and precision figures come from the manufacturer, and information about commercial deployments or independent performance testing has not yet been released. Could machines of this scale make heavy industrial work substantially safer?..... #china #humanoidrobot #neo1 #technology #world .....
