@juliareneawritespoetry: The OG career woman was in Erie and I got to see 11 rows away from her 😍 The Jefferson Educational Society brought former First Lady Michelle Obama to Erie, PA as a part of their Global Summit Series for 2026. This sold-out event was everything you could imagine and more. Michelle spoke candidly regarding her time in the White House, the work she did prior to her husband’s presidency, and what it means to be a “first” in every sense of the word. As someone who made “Becoming” their Covid-read, I was in awe listening to the advice this woman spewed. I was vigorously taking notes the entire conversation, not wanting to forget one tidbit from this opportunity to listen to one of my favorite role models. She is graceful, kind, and full of wisdom. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to see leaders like this come to Erie, PA. I can’t wait to see who else Jefferson brings in for the next Global Summit Series 🤍 #michelleobama #motivation #eriepa #firstgen #careerwomen @The Obama Foundation @Democrats
