In Sacramento? Go get a state job! It’s supposed to be 4 days in office, 1 work from home day, but the government closed so many satellite offices that a lot of employees are still on a flexible schedule, like 3 days in 2 days work from home. And the great thing about a career with the state is your experience qualifies you for promotional opportunities—someone with their bachelors isn’t considered anymore qualified for a job than someone who meets the minimum requirements for time and experience in certain positions.

If you have a bachelors degree, be a substitute teacher for SCUSD. I believe they pay $390/day. Or EGUSD, they pay $210/day.

The easiest way to get in with the state is to start with DMV. Once you get your foot in the door then you can look at other state agencies. DMV has a headquarters where you don’t deal with the public. It doesn’t always have to be the field offices.

A lot of people are not using indeed anymore bc there’s like a subscription employers have to pay to put there application out there further so the indeed jobs are not that great anymore:( Costco is always doing hiring events for like front end, forklift drivers, cart pushers, etc!

You can contact Apple One , they are a 3rd party temp agency with the county .. the county could pick you up permanently if they like you. If not apple one will put you in your next location
