Fab but disagree! I think a work like this is meant to, and does, stand alone. I mean it’s a documentary. And its unique formatting is why I think the less you know (outside of jnfo ab Holmes) the better. Going into this blind makes everything so fresh and helps your biases form AS you watch as opposed to prior. I watched without seeing any work of Fielder (but knowing his whole awkward dry humor schtick, which can be picked up whilst watching) and knowing minimal about the case and I think it makes the film just as if not more enjoyable because I came from a (mostly) unbiased POV and knowing very little left me more open to the psychology of it all!

People should watch season 2 of the rehearsal and know that he was filming that at the same time as this was happening. It reads like the rehearsal without his monologs lol

I also think pregaming and researching a documentary kind of defeats the purpose of it in the first place. Granted, this isn’t meant to be an informational exposé or a scientific defense, but it IS telling a story and I don’t think we should try to beat them to it. The less you know the better (outside of surface level info of Holmes/Theranos)

I saw it last night. I don’t think you really need to know much about Felder. It would be helpful to have watched the dropout, and be pretty familiar with the whole Holmes case.

lmao don’t know why everyone is dogging you. if you genuinely enjoy watching movies and want the best experience i agree with you. having all this background info made the movie a 5/5 for me. and i wish i had watched dropout before watching! if you don’t care - then don’t do it 😂
