@user21297829729098: When two legendary Survivor players entered the Big Brother house, producers expected fierce competition. What they didn't expect was just how strongly some fans and former contestants would turn against them. Season 28 featured Dee Valladares and Rick Devens, both coming off Survivor 50. But as the pair began dominating the game, a surprising divide emerged among the Big Brother community. Some longtime players felt protective of their show and didn't want outsiders winning their competition. Former contestants Danielle Reyes and Britney Haynes openly admitted they wanted a Big Brother player to win, especially because Dee had the chance to become the first person to win both reality competitions. Even celebrity fan James Gunn noticed the tension, revealing that people around him were rooting against Dee and Rick. Host Julie Chen Moonves also reminded Devens that he was playing Big Brother, not Survivor. But the reaction surprised executive producers Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan. Grodner admitted she hadn't realized how fiercely territorial former contestants would become. Meehan explained that the producers had cast Dee and Rick because they believed they would be excellent Big Brother players, not simply because of their Survivor reputations. Not everyone objected, though. Angela Murray, a devoted Survivor fan competing alongside them, welcomed the newcomers without viewing them as outsiders. And the final twist? Rick Devens went on to win the season and America's Favorite Houseguest fan vote. The controversy revealed just how fiercely reality TV fans defend the shows they love—and how quickly a crossover can turn into a battle for bragging rights. \#BigBrother #Survivor #RealityTV #CBS #entertainmentnews
