@thesouthbayclub: You’ve tried the paradise cake but have you tried the cheesecake! King’s Hawaiian got its start in Hilo, Hawaii, in 1950, when founder Robert Taira opened his first bakery. In 1977, he brought the business to Torrance, and in 1988, the original King’s Hawaiian Bakery & Restaurant opened on Sepulveda Boulevard, becoming a South Bay favorite for generations of families. And while many locals know The Local Place Bakery & Café for its faster, casual, grab-and-go style in Torrance, did you know we also have the original full-service King’s Hawaiian Restaurant and Bakery right here in our backyard? If you’ve never visited, it’s worth a stop for a Hawaiian-inspired meal and a trip to the bakery counter for one of their famous cakes! Now we want to hear from you! 👇 What’s your favorite King’s Hawaiian cake, and what memory do you have of sharing one? Tell us in the comments! 📍 King’s Hawaiian Bakery & Restaurant | Torrance, CA
