the fables are seldom just about the surface lesson, however those who are attached to instant gratification miss out on the depth life has to offer.🥰🥰🥰

Consistency is the key to success.
It means doing something regularly and never give up even when progress seems slow.
Small efforts made can create results over time.

I needed this right now. This fable has always been a favorite of mine. I’ve always been and will always be the tortoise. I like who I am along this journey and THAT’S what matters more than any destination or for me location (I need a new environment, one where I live alone). It’ll happen for me. I’m patient most days but on those days where I’m not, I work through my shadows and I feel better. But I allow every feeling I have with zero judgment and that’s a huge accomplishment for me. Spiritual milestone I call it. Thank you girl! Mad love for you! 🥰🥰🥰

I’ve never identified with “winning” as something to aspire to in life… like, at all. But I’ve also never really appreciated competition in general, because IMO, too many people force competition on others, regardless of whether or not anyone else has any interest whatsoever in competing - and that’s (more often than not) what ends up sucking the fun out of whatever the activity is/was, because overly competitive people feel entitled to force everyone to compete in every situation. I don’t like competition because it robs everyone involved of any real joy that lasts longer than the “award ceremony” at the end of the competition. And even then, the joy is automatically limited to 1 person (whoever wins) at the expense of everyone else’s ability to just enjoy having fun playing a game with other people 🤷🏻♀️
