@pbsnews: The roof of a private school in northwest Pakistan collapsed during morning classes on Thursday, killing at least 34 children and a teacher. Authorities in the city of Peshawar said rescue workers arrived within minutes, and that rapid response saved dozens of lives. Crews cleared debris, with officials saying everyone trapped beneath the rubble was eventually pulled out. Hospital officials say more than 50 other people were injured, some in critical condition. The local police chief says the school's owner has been arrested. Thousands of mourners attended a mass funeral later in the day. The children killed or injured were all between the ages of 6 and 14 and all lived in the same neighborhood as the school. #pakistan #pakistanschool #roofcollapse #peshawar #school #news #pbsnews #pbs #pbsnewshour
