sobbing this almost this exactly happened to me when i found a little lost chihuahua, I brought him home and fed him until his owner showed up, dropped work and everything for him. came right over and when that dog saw him he was SO happy it made it so worth it. i was 10 years old, it was luck. I just so happened to be stopping by home to get a toy and then go back out to play when I saw the dog, i was never taught to care about animals or their feelings so idk where this even came from. i just knew he needed to be home. getting him home was more important then playing with my friend. I did end up telling him what happened cause I didnt want him to think I didnt want to play with him

Awww I’ve never found a dog that was chipped!! This little girl was loose in a parking lot, and the guy who found her was cycling with friends and couldn’t take her. We rode to my vet to check for a chip, then she hung out with my cats all afternoon till the shelter could see us. I did stalk her page online religiously, and she got adopted within hours of being posted, though. ❤️I miss her. 😂

over 40 years ago my brother and I found a stray beautiful white dog and we asked her mom can we take care of it and try to find its owner so we went and bought food with her money and we walked around the neighborhood hoping someone would spot us and sure enough an old man pulled over and said that it was his daughter's dog that he was watching and my mom and my brother and I got to go to their house and they gave us a reward

I have 2 adopted indoor cats that sometimes think they want to try outside and sneak when I'm unloading groceries. Lucky for me the elements haven't been in their favor and they run back in, but my heart feels better knowing they're chipped just in case.
