My mom is not like this and it makes me incredibly sad. She always says “I’m a grandma not a babysitter”. I teared up watching this video because this is how I will be when my daughter has a baby (she’s only 2.5 now). I will HOPE and PRAY I can watch her babies because it will remind me of when my girl was a baby 🥹 it will be healing to me, I want to be the mom I wish I had.

My therapist told me I’m asking too much when I said I wish my mom and sister had moved closer to me when my daughter was born. Thank you for showing me that it’s actually not asking too much, you’re such a wonderful mom and grandma I can tell. I wish my family knew what they’re missing out on

My mom is stay at home grandma to my niece and she has helped me with my own kiddos. She also babysits my brother’s little girl every Saturday. She is the best. I am so grateful for her sacrifice and I’m grateful for my dad supporting her decision. It’s such a blessing!!

I work three days a week and my father in law meets me at my job (already a 35 min commute, their house is 20-25 min past work), and picks up my son and brings him back at the end of every work day. He’s been a little stir crazy the last few years because he can’t work anymore (retired plumber) and my mother in law still works. He jokes about his “job” but it gives him such a purpose and he is obsessed with my son.

My mum passed away last year from a brain tumour but she was the best nana. She did the same thing for all 8 of her grand children. When she was dying my teen son moved in with her and took care of her. You get back what you give xxx
