@jamiet: The past few weeks have been a rollercoaster of emotion. The rollout to an album often is. It can be a hard time for any artist. You feel vulnerable and at the mercy of people, the journalists want their scoop, the critics want their pound of flesh and you’re stuck in the middle somewhere between a rock and a hard place wanting the ground to swallow you up. It can be overwhelming. To any young artists reading this know that it’s the same for all of us. Concentrate on the fans that come down to all the shows. The ones who send you messages about how your music got them through a hard time. Concentrate on the friends dancing arm and arm in the front row. Concentrate on the couple who met and at one of your shows who now have kids together. Concentrate on the bands around you and the inspiring music they are doing. Concentrate on the friendships music has brought you and concentrate on the love your loved ones give, and most of all concentrate on being comfortable in your own skin.
